The story of the night Jesus was taken for crucifixion (Gospels of Mark,Matthew, John, Luke)

The story of the night Jesus was taken for crucifixion is recorded in all four Gospels of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The following is a brief summary of the events that took place:

After the Last Supper, Jesus and his disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. Jesus was deeply troubled and asked his disciples to stay and keep watch while he went off to pray. He asked God if there was any other way for him to fulfill his mission, but ultimately, he submitted to God’s will.

Meanwhile, the religious leaders, who were determined to put Jesus to death, had sent soldiers and temple guards to arrest him. They were led by Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’ disciples, who betrayed him by giving him a kiss, identifying him to the soldiers.

Jesus was taken to the high priest’s house, where he was interrogated and beaten. The next morning, he was taken before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate, who was in Jerusalem to oversee the Passover festival. Pilate found no fault in Jesus and attempted to release him, but the religious leaders incited the crowd to demand Jesus’ death. Pilate, fearing a riot, reluctantly handed Jesus over to be crucified.

Jesus was taken to Golgotha, a hill outside of Jerusalem, where he was mocked and stripped of his clothes, brutally beaten, and crucified. He died on the cross, and his body was taken down and placed in a tomb.
